American Idols Live! Generates Fastest Sell-Out In TED TIX History
NORFOLK, VA (May 25, 2006) - American Idols Live! made history today when it became the fastest sell-out in Ted Tix history. In just a matter of minutes after today's 10 a.m. on-sale, tickets for the highly-rated national tour were scooped up by eager fans. The Idols are set to appear Friday, September 15 at 7pm at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
"We're incredibly pleased to sell-out American Idols Live! as quickly as we did," commented Doug Higgons, General Manager of the Constant Center and Vice President with Global Spectrum. "We could feel the excitement throughout the week as the television show came to an end."
"Pop Tarts Presents American Idols Live!" will feature the Top Ten contestants from Season Five: Ace Young, Bucky Covington, Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Katherine McPhee, Kellie Pickler, Lisa Tucker, Mandisa, Paris Bennett and newly crowned Idol, Taylor Hicks. The concert will include individual as well as ensemble performances and features songs off their hit album "American Idol Season 5 Encores."
