New Era Tickets Helps NASCAR Fans Speed Through the Ticket Gates

(Wayne, PA – August 25, 2008) – New Era Tickets, the full-service ticketing and digital fan marketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, has partnered with major racetracks to provide seamless scannable ticketing. This past summer, New Era Tickets worked with their new client, Pocono Raceway, to be one of the first NASCAR race tracks to scan every single customer ticket including hard tickets and print-at-home tickets.   With fans entering the main facility and fans with special access to the PIT, over 150,000 tickets were scanned during the big June and August Sprint Cup race weekends.  This new technology provided a huge convenience to fans that were able to print their tickets at home and enter the race through fast-moving lines.  “The access control technology that New Era Tickets provides is also a huge benefit to their clients,” commented Ron Friedman, Director of New Era Tickets IT.  “Pocono Raceway now has more data on their ticket-buying fans and what time they entered the facility.”

In addition to Pocono Raceway, in 2008 New Era Tickets also partnered with Dover International Speedway, Gateway International Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, and Memphis Motorsports Park to provide access control functionality. New Era Tickets specializes in providing full-service ticketing and marketing solutions for public assembly facilities, show promoters, sports teams, theaters and entertainment organizations. Throughout the year, New Era Tickets will sell over 10 million tickets in over 45 venues throughout the United States and Canada.
