Director Of IT

Ron Friedman works with New Era Tickets as the Director of IT. He has been with the company for over four years and brings over 20 years of IT experience to New Era Tickets.  He is responsible for all systems technology, from client Venue connectivity and access control to internal network integration and support for New Era Tickets staff.

Previous experience and positions include:

  • Director of IT for Vertical Alliance (ticketing-Technology Company) – responsible for all network and ISP co-location infrastructure.
  • Owner and Vice president of computer consulting company based in Media, PA supporting over 300 small business clients.
  • Manager of IT support for start-up small business, overseeing 10 technicians providing network support for multiple clients in the Delaware Valley. 
 
 

Fred Maglione –
President & CEO

Fred Maglione fosters a progressive work environment focused on a lively, motivated corporate culture which transcends into the services and level of support provided to company clients. Fred personally spends time with each New Era Tickets client and is continuously exploring the latest technology to enhance the company’s ticketing and database marketing offerings.
Previous experience and positions include:
-Industry veteran with over thirty years experience in the sports, entertainment and ticketing business
- One of founding partners and President of Globe Information Systems (GIS), maker of the Select-a-Seat Ticketing System that was used by over 400 organizations world wide
- Director of Sales and Marketing for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA and also consulted for a number of sports and entertainment entities
- Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Lasergate Systems
- Manager of the international business unit of Tickets.com
- Vice President of Business Development for Select Technologies


Dave Homan –
VP & Chief Operating Officer

Dave Homan is responsible for overseeing all the day to day operations of New Era Tickets and ensuring client satisfaction with the ticketing system and client services support. Dave and his team work hard to update and refine the system integration and training process for all new clients and to provide the maintenance and technical assistance for ongoing client success.

Previous experience and positions include:
- 6 years as General Manager for the New York tri-state area Tickemaster
- President and CEO of Ticketmaster Delaware Valley, a licensee of Ticketmaster owned and operated by Spectacor

Daniel Durso –
VP of Finance

Daniel Durso directs all aspects of New Era Tickets’ financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and administration. Dan works with clients to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
Previous experience and positions include:
- Over 25 years of entertainment experience
- Director of Finance for the Philadelphia 76ers after leaving the public accounting firm, Laventhol and Horvath
- Vice President of Finance for two NBA expansion teams - The Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors from 1987 through 1998

Steve Geib -
VP of Client Services

Steve Geib and his team work with New Era clients from technology testing and integration through ongoing system support and maintenance. Whether it’s initial training or help with a unique request for your 500th event, Steve’s group is there to answer your questions and provide professional assistance.

Previous experience and positions include:
- Design and implementation of Selectix, a major initiative linking numerous in-house systems for outlet ticket distribution
- Manager for Tickets.com and Select Ticketing for 14 years.
- Installations, Training and Support Manager overseeing activities for a 300 plus client base
- Project managed the installation of ticketing systems with up to 100 users for major institutions
- Served as Technical Manager, Assistant Box Office Manager and House Manager at venues such as the Shubert Theater in New Haven, Connecticut and the Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Rick Ridall –
Director of Sales

Rick Ridall is responsible for new sales and identifying additional revenue streams for existing clients. Rick is an industry expert and knowledgeable resource for prospects, clients, and New Era Tickets employees.

Previous experience and positions include:
- 16 year employee of Comcast-Spectacor with over 20 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry
- Director of Ticket Operations for Comcast-Spectacor and Global Spectrum
- Box Office Manager for 12 years at the Wachovia Complex, overseeing approximately 400 shows and sporting events per year
- Philadelphia Flyers box office assistant
- Premium Service’s department employee for the Philadelphia Eagles

Thatcher Young –
Director of Call Center Operations

Thatcher Young oversees the call center agents, customer service group and the fulfillment team to make sure client calls and customer orders are handled with the highest level of service and attention to detail. Thatcher is continuously implementing new call center procedures for maximizing client ticket sales and identifying other unique selling opportunities.

Previous experience and positions include:
- Manager at Convergys Corporation, a leading international call center organization
- Manager at Capital One Small Business Services in Austin, TX
- Experience in the call center industry in both third-party and first-party call centers

Patrice Greene -
Director of
Digital Fan Marketing

Patrice Greene works with New Era clients to install and actively use their database marketing systems. Patrice is an expert in database marketing best practices and customizes tactics for the sports and entertainment industry to drive sales and deliver measurable results.

Previous experience and positions include:
- Financial analyst for First USA Bank
- Joined Venue One in 2002, a firm specializing in sports technology, where she helped launch the company’s LED division selling large screen LED video boards to major sports and entertainment venues
- At Primavera Systems, a technology company that develops and sells project management software, Patrice helped to manage a channel of authorized dealers throughout the northeast and southern territories for their construction and engineering markets

 

Jennifer Zick –
Director of Marketing

Jennifer Zick develops client and prospect communications for New Era Tickets. She also works closely with the ComcastTIX brand and clients to create marketing programs designed to raise consumer awareness and increase ticket sales.

Previous experience and positions include:
- Served on the board of the Philadelphia American Marketing Association as VP of Programming
- Managed branding efforts, video production, direct mail and interactive campaigns as an Account Executive at 160over90
- Developed database marketing, product launch and lead generation programs for a wide variety of Pharma, B2B, and B2C companies as an Account Executive at Roska Direct Advertising
- Organized public relations activities for the World TeamTennis Philadelphia Freedoms

Christian Varano –
Director of New Business Development

Christian Varano is responsible for new sales growth and the overall expansion of the New Era Tickets client base across the US and Canada.  Christian is a seasoned sales and marketing executive with broad experience in both early-stage startups and large enterprise organizations.  He has spent the past 15 years bringing enterprise technology solutions to a wide range of industries.
Previous experience and positions include:
-Regional Vice President of Sales at Kintera Inc. – managed a team of eight senior sales executives responsible for driving all new business in the company’s strategic Northeast region.
- Vice President, Sales and Marketing & Board Member at Prospect Information Network, LLC – Christian played a primary role in helping to grow revenue ten fold.

-Senior Consultant, CDA/Investnet, a Thomson Financial company – worked with over 150 new clients over a three-year period, and helped launch the company’s Private Banking data solutions business.

Rick Moore – Chief Strategist
Rick works with the Digital Fan Marketing business to offer our clients the strategies, products, services and support they need.  With over 20 years of marketing experience, including managing his own $50 million integrated communications agency, Rick has the seasoned experience needed to provide value and return on investment to our clients’ operations.

Previous experience and positions include:

  • President and Chief Operating Officer of Roska Direct Advertising, a full-service direct marketing agency, for the past ten years.
  • As a founding partner and President / COO of Kingswood Advertising, Rick launched one of the area’s first interactive marketing shops in 1995, helping Kingswood grow into one of the largest independent full-service agencies in the region (now operating as Backe Communications).
